Repub. talking point as to why McCain didn't look at Obama-"He looked right THROUGH him!"

Did anyone else watch the news shows today and notice a pattern of every McCain surrogate using the same line?

1. I heard that and wondered how someone can look through
another person when they never even glance over at them.

3. Is this along the lines of "can't see them black guys at night unless they smile?"
Republicans are truly stupid.

8. Wouldn't he have to be looking in his general direction
for that to be effective. I'm starting to enjoy the republican meltdown.Their true colors are showing. They truly do think we're stupid.

11. Just a quick correction...
...they truly do think their followers are stupid (and rightly so). They KNOW that we're intelligent, so they're running for the hills!

"looking right through" Obama. How demeaning could one act?

Whether it's pertinent or not I will point out that McCain's great grandparents were plantation owners in Mississippi. I hope that my insinuation is wrong.

Better than the other excuse I heard about him being a POW
And his wounds made him so stiff that he couldn't turn his head to look at Obama. Even if that were the case, then why couldn't he even look at him when they shook hands. I think it's because he's racist, but hey maybe that can be attributed to his POW days too.

16. McCain didn't want anyone noticing he'd have to look up to look
Obama in the eye. Some guys are really touchy about that subject. Seriously.

"Most estimates put the height of Barack Obama, the nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, between 6 ft 1 in and 6 ft 2 in (approximately 1.87 meters).<1><2>

John McCain, the nominee of the United States Republican Party in the United States presidential election, 2008, is 5 ft 6 in (1.70 meters).<3> Were McCain elected to the presidency, he would be the shortest president in 120 years and tied for the second-shortest president of all time.

The height difference between them is around seven inches (18 centimeters) with McCain being four inches (or 10 centimeters) shorter than the average height of all U.S. Presidents at 5 ft 10 in (178 cm): a number that has been on the rise due to the rise in height of the general United States population."

But it will be fun hearing them repeat it - as if it's some sort of justification for Johnny's childish behavior.

21. Does McCain have eyes on the side of his head?
Unless he can see with his left ear, he never looked AT or THROUGH Obama.

22. Uh, problem is, he never even looked AT him, so how could he
have looked THROUGH him? He avoided looking at him, making eye contact, and speaking to him.

It seemed fearful, submissive and immature to me.

25. To look through Obama he would need a stool
in order to see his face without making his Grumpy head tock the back of his fat neck.

I loved it that it happened.

It spoke volumes about who was/is the better man.

Fired Up!

defend this - it means it's not being perceived favorably and they know it.
