GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – Democratic Senator Barack Obama returned to the Piedmont Saturday, less than 24 hours after his first presidential debate with republican Senator John McCain.
The event was held in front of The Depot in downtown Greensboro, and despite off and on rainfall, a crowd police estimated at 20,000 attended the rally.
Obama was introduced by running mate Sen. Joe Biden. Biden said his biggest regret was not getting to Greensboro in time to hear the North Carolina A&T State University Blue and Gold Marching Machine, who performed earlier for the crowd.
Obama recapped Friday night's presidential debate at Ole Miss, reiterating the differences between himself and Sen. McCain.
