2. I would like to think I have followed ths...

political season pretty well. However I must admit I had never heard of "battleground polling" until about 2 weeks ago.

Unless they are releasing "crosstabs" somewhere, or have a good endorsement history from 538.com or something, I would disregard them. No matter if the news is good or bad.

6. I wish I could play around with their polling data on SPSS
It would be great to see what kind of data and correlations one might find.

3. As I wrote yesterday, take a look at the graph, that is a false +2 its actually -2 for McCain
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 01:27 PM by Boz
McCain is 2 points ahead 48 McCain 46 Obama, but the move reflected is McCain was stable at 48 and Obama had moved up from 44 the week before, so the actual movement of the poll was +2 Obama no change McCain not +2 McCain

5. Ummmm, No.
The poll may be bogus, but internally,

McCain: 48 + 0 = 48
Obama: 44 + 2 = 46

Net: McCain still "ahead" by 2.
