Politico's Roger Simon is a f****** idiot

The Mac is back

By ROGER SIMON | 9/26/08 11:52 PM EDT

John McCain was very lucky that he decided to show up for the first presidential debate in Oxford, Miss., Friday night. Because he gave one of his strongest debate performances ever.

While Barack Obama repeatedly tried to link McCain to the very unpopular George W. Bush, Bush’s name will not be on the ballot in November and McCain’s will.

And McCain not only found a central theme but hit on it repeatedly. Obama is inexperienced, naïve, and just doesn’t understand things, McCain said.

Sure, McCain is a pretty old guy for a presidential candidate, but he showed the old guy did not mind mixing it up. He stood behind a lectern for 90 minutes without a break — you try that when you are 72 — and he not only gave as good as he got, he seemed to relish it more.

At least twice after sharp attacks by McCain, Obama seemed to look to moderator Jim Lehrer for help, saying to Lehrer, “Let’s move on.”

4. I posted this last night
I was glad to see Roger outed himself fully a right wing hack which is fitting because after some debate, I've given up on Politico because it's obvious they lean to the right.

Look at the comments section on many of the articles. Loaded with freepers and like minded Repugs. They flock to Politico like moths to light which is telling.

7. What's the thinking on Politico? They seem to be everywhere, but don't seem balanced.
They always come across to me to be quite right leaning....

8. BTW, he thought McLoonie's no-debate/suspension stunt was brilliant--
which according to polls, it was not. So what Simon thinks is a boffo performance is kinda suspect.

13. That's pretty disappointing.
And McCain not only found a central theme but hit on it repeatedly. Obama is inexperienced, naïve, and just doesn’t understand things, McCain said.

Obama demonstrated knowledge and clear thinking about every issue discussed. McDouche's constant repetition of this line rang pretty damned hollow. To be honest, his line barely registered with me since it was so half-hearted and inane.

14. Wow. The check must have cleared.
Talk about your bought endorsements! No rational person could watch that last night and conclude anything other than McCain came across as a grouchy old man, long on war stories, short on thoughtful analysis and facts, cowardly and afraid.

15. I think your list of JSM III's bizarre actions this week is the best reply
to this blatantly biased article of Roger Simon's. That list just kind of cuts right there into his "Mac is back" theme. Sorry pal, Mac is still way off track.

Johnny managed to get the right balance of medications to deliver some focused paragraphs during the debate last night so right wingers can try to eke out a triumph from a non-disaster.

But his bizarre actions of late, combined with the wierd derision/scorn/fear/anger emotionality that kept him from looking at the Presidential Candidate of millions of his fellow Americans, have done nothing to quell my worries about his mental instability.

"the wierd derision/scorn/fear/anger emotionality that kept him from looking at the Presidential Candidate of millions of his fellow Americans"

Truly bizarre.
