2. It's a predictions "Stock" market where you can actually
buy shares in events.

There's a play area too. I bought some Obama stock right after the GOP convention. I'm doing well. It's up again.

3. Intrade is small enough that a single wise guy's bets can make a big difference
Nate Silver of 538.com noted that someone regularly short sold Obama and bet on Hillary replacing him, which kept Obama's numbers artificially low.
