Rasmussen-Faux News: Bailout Unpopular; Obama Rising
Rasmussen Reports: Bailout Plan:
Favor 24%
Oppose 50%
Don't Know 25%

Obama needs to watch out for his suport of this plan, could be a liability

Virginia +5 Obama; Ohio +1 McShame; Tracking +6 Obama. Instant Polling from Debate initially 46-44 McCain and by the end of debate: Puff, dissipated and McCain down (did not say how many points but said it was similar to "Tracking")

1. Seriously. I really hope Obama doesn't sign something with $700,000,000,000
dollars flowing to wall street. This is a ridiculous stunt.

3. And a lot of oversight...
and the figure is 230 billion at first to see if it works which gives them leeway to go back and tweak the program..and lowered ceo compensation.

4. Obama was the only one last night who listed conditions for the bailout.
Right at the beginning. Made me mad that some TV pundits said neither guy talked specifically about the bailout when Obama did. He listed about 4 conditions Democrats want included in any bailout:

-- None of the money goes to CEO pay.
-- Oversight system required.
-- Taxpayers get reimbursement and profits for their stake when markets improve
-- I forget the other one

That bothered me. Obama talked about the conditions we regular folks want, and talked about kitchen table concerns, but Chris Matthews didn't hear it somehow. I couldn't hang with Chris because he acted as though neither one talked about basic economic issues and BARACK DID !!

6. You're right. It sure did sound like that.
My friend and I were wondering if they'd seen the same debate we had.
