McCain's Disability???
Just exactly what is the disability? Yesterday on WI Public Radio a caller remarked to a local Republican that McCain won't even bother to learn how to use a computer. The repuke went ballistic and screamed at the caller that McCain CAN"T us a computer due to his POW related injuries. Okay -- as closely as I watch him I cannot see any restricted movement that would preclude a little typing. AND even if there was, there are computers specially designed for people with disabilities, fer crys sake, even quadriplegics can use computers, blind people can use computers. Get him a voice activated one. Oh Gee, I guess another free pass for him.

1. He can't raise his arms above his head, but that doesn't prevent him from using a computer.

5. Well, sort of.
Sometimes you really need to reach up high in order to hit that "Any" key with conviction. :hide:

7. I knew about that, but since I personnally
never sit on the floor beneath my computer desk to type I couldn't figure out how that would apply.

He was a POW. End of story.

4. MENTAL, not physical.
senility is a horrible thing. In fact, he did surprisingly well, although I was shocked that he didn't break a tooth, grinding away when Barack was scoring points.

6. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. His fucking fingers work. He can hold objects.
He can lower the keyboard. He can sit. He can look at a screen. I can't believe they can get away with that HORSESHIT.

8. McInsane's biggest problem is that he's a sociopath...
The Sociopath Next Door by psychologist Martha Stout is a great read and perfectly describes quite a few of our so-called leaders.

17. Give me a break!
I just saw a video of him on the news yesterday afternoon with a cell phone to his ear. If he can raise his arms that high, he can certainly type on a keyboard. Plus, there's plenty of assistive technology out there for him if he wanted it. There's no excuse.

19. The RWers have been using that lie to try to rebut the ad that had McCain being out of touch and
not knowing how to use email. It's a lie, though, because there is video and there are articles of McCain saying he's learning how to use the computer, goes to his daughter's blog, and uses a Blackberry that his family owns. So they're just using the POW card again.

"Incoming attack, Cap'n!"
"Raise the Hanoi Hilton shield, it's the only one still funtioning!!"

"Another attack Cap'n, this is on his age"
"Tell them he had to be born a long time ago, so he could be a POW in 'Nam"
