ROFL Moment! Brian Williams Noting That NBC Had Invited Palin To Comment On the Debate Afterward...
But the McCain camp had said that she was not available, but that the McCain camp had made Rudy Guiliani available to speak on behalf of the campaign. They cut to the Rudy who appeared to be laughing at that comment.

Priceless!

This was right after Joe Biden had commented on the debate.

I also have read comments from other folks who watched other channels like CNN that after Joe Biden was interviewed for his response, the network mentioned that Sarah Palin had been invited.

Now, do you think the networks were saying this to avoid being called "sexist" when people asked where is Palin, or because they wanted to get in a dig on Palin for her inacessessibility and absense during a time the VP is supposed to make the rounds?

1. She's a joke, just a bad one.
She was getting hammered in a pub and singing karaoke songs at the time.

I guess this is exactly what the Secret Service loooves to take a candidate.

2. Palin is not ready (nor will she ever be) to speak to the media
on her own. Her absence from last night's post debate media rounds is clear indication that the campaign has something to hide. It's a disservice to the public who want to know more of what this V.P. pick has going for her. McCain misjudged - badly.

She said McCain is too old to run and she doesn't want to end up with McCain's bimbo as president.

4. Think about it: If McLoon's VP had been Romney, Polenta, or Ridge, he would
have had him doing what Biden did (the surrogate spin) without a doubt. She's just so far out of her depth, so useless except as arm and eye candy for campaign crowds, it's pathetic.

I kid you not. Here is the story -

snip - Perhaps it was coincidence that the song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was playing as Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin worked the crowd at the Irish Pub last night.

15. Lol. "Unavailable" because she was shit-faced by that time, I'm sure.
"I'm going to have to do THIS in less than a week? F-f-u-u-u-u-c-k." *as she tosses her tenth shot back*

And there's also a debate poll at that link. Not that it needs DU'ing, lol.

Women should be seen and not heard
That's the message I'm getting from the McCain group, loud and clear.

My, what a ground-breaking role model for feminists everywhere. If she were to break the glass ceiling and go down in the annals as a historical figure, I think I'd have to scrape out my eyes so I couldn't read it.

I'm okay with not having to listen to that voice and that accent. I'm getting pretty tired of her face, too, actually.

Palin was being sequestered because she's incompetent and all she can do is parrot back meaningless phrases. But, then again, maybe she's handling an Alaska/Russia international crisis. Believe that, I've got a bridge to nowhere to sell you!

11. I think they are making it crystal clear that her absence on these shows
is 100% the McCain campaign's choice and that no one can accuse them of any bias in that regard.

The McCain campaign obviously doesn't think she can handle this stuff yet we're supposed to believe she's "ready on day one". LOL.

18. NBC Brian Williams - Right After Biden's Comments
Brian Williams is making the comment, and they immediately cut to Rudy Guiliani who appears to be cracking up at the reference, though it is not clear whether Rudy knew he was immediately on camera.

19. The Networks are Required to give Equal time to the candidates. They had to say they invited her
in order to avoid later requests by the McCain campaign for equal time.

Wolf Blitzer said, right after Biden interview, "we invited Sarah Palin but she's not available" and Anderson Cooper said "Don't hold your breath". I almost died laughing.

Palin grabs a seat at the bar

Perhaps it was coincidence that the song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was playing as Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin worked the crowd at the Irish Pub last night.

But her amorous fans were definitely ready to let the moose-hunting Alaska governor rule.

"I expect her to be president of the United States one day," said Suzanne Haney, the Republican leader for the 2nd Ward in South Philadelphia, who gave Palin a $2 bill for luck.

Palin appeared at the bar on 20th and Walnut streets last night to shake hands with her fans for about an hour before the first presidential debate. While the crowd inside was friendly, hundreds of people lined the street outside in protest with signs that read things like "Palin is Santorum With Lipstick."

..................

She is going to need a big drink before the debate next week!

22. I think this is just standard procedure
So the viewers for whichever side knows that the networks are not attempting to be unfair by only showcasing one side. Because if Biden spoke and then it went to Guiliani people would naturally think, "Where is Palin," and repugs would be angry

24. They usually say that, to show that they were fair and invited both sides.
Shows that the McCain camp had the chance to get air time for this but chose to decline.

Wolfie said they were getting tons of emails complaining that they were not letting Palin comment on the debate. He then said we asked Palin and she refused and we would love to have her on any time she wants.
The panel laughed......
