So McCain's in D.C. today. What is he doing?

So McCain's in D.C. today. What is he doing?
He's not part of the negotiations between Congessional repubs and dems, as I understand it.

McCain is foolishly squandering the remaining precious days before the election, opting for political stuntsmanship rather than stumping. And where's his maverick vp choice? It's less than 5 weeks to the election. Mr. Gamble-It-All is blowing it.

1. He's campaigning. He's going to lose OH, FL, PA, MI, NH, VA, NC
so why not make a play for DC's 3 electoral votes?

7. he can't do it. And nothing in my post had anything to do with being complacent.
The dems have the ability to keep him from claiming credit. In any case, it's too late for him to be able to do so. He blew his shot at that.

8. Negotiate? HA! He's suspending negotiations till this crisis is solved.
In this time of national crisis, there's no place for partisan negotiations. We must suspend all Congressional activity until McCain can lead us to fixing this crises.
