3. Stupid thing is, there's DUers here BEGGING us to "drop it". It doesn't help McLoser
in any way, shape or form. It's not the end of the election by any means, it's not the biggest deal of the night, but it feeds into his temper problem.

18. Drop it? Why?
I haven't seen any posts or threads like that. I thought it was AWESOME--he looks angry and petulant and unpresidential all at once. That weird smile on his face, going "horseshit... horseshit..."--how is that anything but great for us?

20. thank you!
I see the point of people who think it might make him more likeable--the common touch thing--but he looked so odd when he said it, like he was barely controlling his temper (that smile plus "horseshit" is scarier to me than someone who says it out loud), that I thought it made him seem unprofessional and unpresidential.

Now I'm seeing all kinds of threads on this. Sorry to put you to the trouble, and thank you for pointing this one out!

21. oh, you're quite welcome.
I think it is a BAD BAD thing for him which plays into every negative narrative about his unpresidential temperment.... and coming off of his bizarre hissy-fit about not attending the debate, the timing is perfect for "shit-gate"!

:)

I've listened to this stupid clip over and over and I don't hear horsehit, I hear a muffled "course not." It definitely is not clear enough to be an issue.

8. it's at The Guardian as well
Watch this video of last night's debate and see if you think that, at about 4:30 into it, after Obama has brought McCain's recent Spain faux pas, McCain twice uses the words "horse shit."

I kinda think he does. I remember hearing this last night, but all I heard last night was a kind of -rsh sound, that sounded like "err-shuh" or something. I definitely did wonder last night what McCain was saying. My thought at the time was that he was saying "of course" in a mocking and ironic way, although that didn't seem quite right to me.

10. All manner of stupid it is.
Who cares if he said 'horse shit' or 'course not', what is fascinating is that either way he is denying something he actually did say on the record as plain as day, and that his actual response in words we can fully understand was a complete rambling non sequitur lame ass joke/insult about seals.
