CNN's The Truth Squad is absolute bullshit and this is why
McCain gets it blatantly wrong 10 times for every time that Obama gets it partially wrong, yet the Truth Squad takes only one example of each candidate getting it wrong, as if Obama is wrong as many times as McCain is. What a fucking farce. If it was really a Truth Squad, they'd show ALL the times McCain lies through his teeth, not just ONE token time for each candidate. The Truth Squad is out to make it look like both candidates are equally guilty of stretching the truth, and that is simply not the case, nor is it THE TRUTH.

as I watched the talk - it was not a debate.

6. Yes, he lied all night, but the Truth Squad picks one example for each candidate
If the Truth Squad lived up to its name, it would show ALL McCain's lies, not just one for him and one stretch of the truth for Obama. The Truth Squad should really call itself The Even-up Squad.

4. This in essence is how CNN is failing
to 'become more objective.' It's as if they don't understand the term's definition. 'Objective' means reporting the facts in an unvarnished manner, regardless of the tone or effect that these facts may have on the recipients/viewers/etc. CNN, in its pathetic push to the middle, is over-playing this shift by making sure that if they rip one of McCrap's many fuckups, they HAVE TO stick a jab, and many times an unfounded one, on Obama before wrapping the story. That's not 'objective.' That's artificially giving the appearance of being objective, which IMHO is wrong. If they were truly objective in their reporting, they'd simply report how McCrap is fucking this whole thing up royally and let the viewers decide if they agree or not instead of trying to paint the Obama campaign in the same light.

8. You are right on. It's as if they feel obligated to match a McCain lie with one by Obama
and they can't find anything more than one or two exagerrations by Obama, so they only give one jab per candidate, when they should be pummelling away at McCain's lying habits.

5. Supposedly this is "fairness."
Of course, if they both lied equally, it would be fair, but the fact is that one is nearly always honest and open, and the other lies nearly every time he opens his mouth. Until the press starts to expose all the lies (from both sides) then there will be no incentive to tell the truth.

7. Exactly. All teh Truth Squad does is try to keep things even, when the lies are lopsided from 1 guy
That is not fair at all, that is an injustice to Obama
