I'll forever remember these debates for McCain not looking Obama in the eye
No matter what happens nothing could stand out more to me than the disrespect McCain gave to Obama last night. We don't need another 4 yrs of arrogance.

1. That's what stands out to me, too. It's extraordinary how insulting he was.
I keep waiting to hear the media really call McCain out on that front. I haven't heard the McCain camp give any explanation for his conduct. Disgraceful.

3. Maybe it was not disrespect
Maybe - he could not look him in the eye because he is afraid of him, and everything that he represents. Obama is going to be a major game changer in the political world - globally. MCCain has been at it for 26 years and is a dinosaur - he sees the writing on the wall - his era is over. And ashamedly so - not with pride.

5. Liars have trouble looking people in the eye. I think that is part of
why he didn't look at him. I think it was also partly because McCain has an inflated sense of his own importance and has a condescending attitude toward Obama.

4. Obama has earned more respect than McCain, IMO.

He didn't have a rich Admiral daddy who bought his way through schools. He didn't dump his disabled wife for a rich beer heiress. He didn't fuck over America and create Pigs at the Trow, part I back in the '80's.

Obama earned everything he has with the sweat of his own brow. He is a man who has carries himself with dignity, and who possesses a great deal of Honor. How dare McCain presume to treat him like that! I really do hate that man.
