1. Another Obama's line
I recall is when he was being pressured by McCain that Obama will sit with leaders of rough nations without preconditions.. Obama said, " i am not going to seat with them for a cup of tea". -
I thought that one was good!!.

:toast:

5. Yeah, I cheered that line
It was clever and it showed that McSame was fundamentally misleading Americans as to what Obama meant.

2. Of course. IIRC, using your opponents' words against him is a time-honored
and legitimate debating technique. Or using them to direct the conversation in a way you want it to go. You use them to your advantage.

7. I said that very thing here at least three times last night.
It's the "but" that matters.

8. Not surprising, about two or three days ago one of the Good Morning America hosts,
it was a man, I don't know his name, but he lied about Obama's planned tax policy.

He was making a comparison as to how the candidates tax plans would affect small businesses, they focused on some guy selling barbecue sauce, I believe the sauce got the most attention, but I digress.

The host making the analysis said Obama's tax plan wouldn't raise taxes on anyone making less than $200,000 the way I understand it, as Obama has stated countless times that figure is $250,000.

Just more corporate media propaganda for the record.

11. I'm not worried about the number of times he agreed with some statements by McCain
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 11:49 AM by whrab
Obama was trying to set the record straight, and lay to rest the absurd ridiculous assertions McCain says Obama believes.

There was a profound difference in the level of respect Obama lent to McCain versus the level of respect McCain lent to Obama. I don't think that Obama saying or not saying "I agree" at various points makes much of an impact on that obvious disparity.

Edit: grammar

12. Obama's whole platform is change.
To change the way things are done in Washington.
In his convention speech he pointed out that it is important for both sides to work together and find common ground. Last night, whenever possible, he found things to agree with McCain, thus finding common ground and demonstrating that he was going to do things differently. McCain was displaying "business as usual" in Washington where nothing gets done because of the constant fighting. He never gave Obama a inch. His lame "I'm not Miss Congeniality" remark just shows that he intends to continue with partisan fighting and bullying.

I'm glad Obama has a solid message and lives up to it instead of sinking to McCains level. The commentators think he needs to get down and dirty, but that's not why we chose him to be our nom or why he has consistently been ahead in the polls.
