1. Don't know. But I bet there are quite a few who just want it *over*
next week's VP debate sure looks to be a train wreck in the making.

2. They probably won't win this one but they need voters at the polls to avoid....
a sweep. Which is why they installed Palin. Mccain does not appeal the the base that put Bush in office.

4. I would never believe that
They are just in total disarray thanks to 8 years of Shrub. McCain was just the most "anything but another Bush" they had without really being anything but another Bush - if you get my drift. In other words, he talked the line of not being another Bush but still still holds to the same failed policies.

5. After the way McCain made fools out of them last night, Bush & Cheney want to see him lose
You can be assured they were not too happy with the way McCain used them (their administration) as fodder to make his point that he's a maverick with how he went on and on about disagreeing with the huge mistakes his administration made.

I've thought that all along.
I don't care if we win by default...as long as we win. I think they know we have problems that can't be fixed so they expect Obama to fail big time. I think Obama will surprise everyone. I don't think he can fix all our problems but he is a person who, in a bad situation, can make us believe that things will get better.

6. I still can't believe they chose McCain as their candidate.
he was never really all that popular with their fundie base in the past, who all GOP candidates are supposed to bow and scrape before, or so I thought. He even vocally dissed the fundie leaders like Falwell during the 2000 or a prior election when he was running if i remember correctly.

7. Keep in mind....
..there were no good choices. There wasn't a single other candidate that would have been any better than McCain. ALL OF THEM were flawed in a big way.

8. Early on, before McCain got the nomination, R. Vigarie, arch-conservative
and long time leader in GOP. spoke to at Heritage Foundation (C_Span)
He proposed that Conservatives cede this election to Democrats..
His theory, the Democrats can take responsiblity for Recession.
Things will be so bad, the Democrats will fail. The GOP can rebuild
their brand and take over at the nest election.

I have heard nothing since. The GOP does seem to think McCain
has a chance.

9. Yes, as I've been saying for a while.
They need the Dems to restore the economy so they can come back in eight years and have something to pillage. I mean, look at this fiasco of a campaign. Whatever else can be said about them, they are brilliant campaigners. If they could get Chimpy the Clown elected twice, they could do anything. No, they want out, now that they have scorched the earth. They will be back like locusts once there is something to steal again.

10. I think that's possible
Those with the long-term view would prefer to leave Bush's shambles to a Democrat. They're banking no one can possibly do a good job after Bush, and they'll be able to waltz in again in '12.
