If an American President within the next 100 years declares victory in Iraq...
and actually withdraws 99% of the American soldiers, then aren't those who want American soldiers to stay in Iraq for the full 100 years going to characterize the withdrawal as "cutting and running" and "losing the war"?

But what's a little name-calling, if it saves lives?

2. Just once, I'd like a reporter to ask McCain to define what victory
in Iraq means. Just what does it mean? It seems as if the troops stay no matter what level the violence is. Violence up - stay to bring it down. Violence down - stay to keep it from going back up. What an endless circle!

3. Maybe McCain needs crowds of Iraqis to throw flowers at him in a victory parade.

5. the reason these guys are idiots is that they constantly expect every war to be
just like WWII. they just don't get it that the world has changed and that WWII was different.!!!!!!!!

They just cannot adapt their thinking to the post-WWII era, let alone the 21st century where maybe we don't invade countries to decide their leaders for them. and that is what iraq was all about.
