3. Virginia elected a black governor in 1990 - Doug Wilder.

And although the vote was close, this was almost 20 years ago and the state has become bluer ever since. So VA is entirely do-able if the turnout is there.

I have been wondering how Warner might win and Obama not win in VA but it's starting to look like a sweep for Democrats. VA will then have a Democratic Governor, plus both Senators. Proud to be a part of this in NOVA. It felt great when Webb beat Macaca Allen.
