** No eye contact from McCain = Creepy **
Edited on Sat Sep-27-08 09:52 AM by President Decider
I mean .... what the hell was that?

For nearly an hour and a half McCain could not look over at Obama. Was that the creepiest and most uncomfortable thing you've ever seen?

That alone cost McCain the debate and will probable cost him the next 2 as well. Totally uncalled for and very very un-Presidential.

1. That was just weird.
Someone posted a shot of them shaking hands, and even then McLame isn't looking at Obama. I agree, very un-Presidential.

3. I suspect
that this was an anger-management tactic, done at the advice of his handlers.

There were moments when his barely-controlled rage was palpable.

4. i guess he must have been humiliated and exposed as the faker he is
when he rode his white horse into Washington. Apparently, Obama was more in command and I think it not only pissed off McCreep but also embarrassed the hell out of him. It's hard to look an honest guy in the eyes when he knows you're a liar.

6. Did anyone notice that you could hear McCain scribbling furiously.
The microphone caught it.. that was his rage being passed to the pen.. and it was so loud it could be heard while Obama was speaking.. and it would get louder when Obama said something McCain didn't like.

9. it wasn't just no eye-contact...he never said his NAME...
Obama repeatedly referred to him as "John"...

McCain referred only to 'my opponent' or "Senator Obama"

one was comortable and personable...the other stiff and unwieldig

10. I know!!
That bothered me so much. It's like McCain had a dot on the wall that he was told to focus on. Maybe he did it so he stayed on message and could think about what he was suppose to say next. Whatever his reason, it was creepy, annoying, and didn't go over well on tv.

11. How can you work in a bipartisan manner if you cant look your opponent in the eye?
ANd no wonder John is flabbergasted about meeting with foreign leaders when he cant even look at Barack Obamas face. What a fucking douchenoodle.

13. It's obvious. McCain has a problem with people of color.
He comes from a party that is racist at it's core. You show me a racist and I'll show you a Republican. I know racists and they obviously can't stand looking a anyone different than them for very long. It is prevalent in the TV shows they watch. It is prevalent in the way they refer to African American athletes. They do not not consider an African American athlete as totally human. I have heard that said out loud. They look at some sports figures as no less than a performing animal. I have witnessed this neo con behavior. Even well known announcers have been fired for these kinds of comments. :dem:

14. I agree and additionally
did anyone notice a hearing aid in McCain's left ear. I couldn't tell if the stage light was playing tricks on my eyes or did he have a hearing aid in his left ear? I noticed he on a few occasions, moved both eyes to the left as if he his attention was drawn to his left side. I'm not trying to start a conspiracy thead but I'm curious if those of you with better eyes, reception, tv's, etc. noticed something?
