Had a discussion just now with a fairly well known mathematician
who came in today. He's a terrific progressive, and if I mentioned his name, which would be inappropriate, some of you may realize that you had read his mass-market book a number of years ago.

He said that what is exciting for him is not the polls such as they are, but the simulations run on several sites. They virtually all point to a stunning Obama win in November. He was called upon by networks as well as the Judicial entities to disprove the Republican theory of the 2000 Florida result a priori, but as we know, the Supreme Court voided his science.

I am now 'officially' cautiously optimistic...but you never ever know, do you?

1. in Ohio in 2006
in the midterm election democratic voters lost 4.7% of our vote according to exit polling. IMO, for us to win, we have to win BIG knowing they will again steal a percentage of the vote. I will again be voting on the Diebold machines. I AM optimistic, but I can't rest easy till this is over.....

4. He's not iterating the simulations...
you'd have to check with the individual study.

6. If it's close, even within 5-7 points, they can steal it.
We need a landslide to be safe.
