When I was a sophomore in high school, my best friend, Nancy, was head over heels in love with Paul Newman. It was the biggest teenage crush I'd ever seen! For English, we had to write an essay on who we wanted to be. She wrote that she'd like to be Joanne Woodward, because she was married to Paul Newman! It was so funny, a story I'll always remember (and that was in 1969!).

I was in my 20's. There were only a couple of other people in the place, and I still remember how vividly blue his eyes were, even from across the other side of the restaurant. He winked at me... one of the most memorable moments of my entire life.
