15. Here
totally irrelevant poll...

its pre-bracelet.

If he wins I am buying a sailboat. Heading for margaritaville... and chilling in the bahamas til the riots calm down. This will be the real life sequal to Atlas Shrugged.

I guess the problem is the famous independents are idiots. Their knee jerk reaction that Obama would be “better” on the economy is preposterous. I’ve met people like this, even “moderate republicans” who say republicans are “war mongers” and the democrats are “better for the people”.

I hope McCain can make it close, like Ford did in 1976. Then at least there are some recovery scenarios in 2010-2012.

This is not good.

They need to reintro Wright and the rest of the ChiTown thugs in a hurry. Or it could be over.

EQ: How is it that a community organizer with zero business and/or econmmic background is now considered a whiz on the economy?

Tragic because with a dem Congress he is going to make all illegals legal, ruin Iraq, disappoint our friends and coddle our worst enemies, raise taxes, redistribute wealth, stop oil production, prevent nuclear energy, abandon missile defenses, weaken the military and our nuclear deterrent. Oh yeah and give us a left wing Supremne Court for generations.

For starters.

...that Bush/McCain's brand of corporate cronyism is straight out of James Taggert's playbook, not John Galt's.

An Obama election would actually move us away from Atlas Shrugged.

If one wants to be truly anonymous, you'd want to copy/paste Freeper URLs, like at the top of this thread, directly into your web browser's address bar, rather than left-clicking.

edit: p.s. Not that that is how you were busted. Just speculation, based on my dated understanding of how web servers can track traffic.

34. He actually hit the nail on the head with that bit.
If Obama wins, we get to replace Ginsburg and Stevens, and whichever conservatives depart. With each passing 4 years, the country's demographics keep moving in our direction. Pretty soon, we'll have the northeast, much of the midwest, the whole west coast, and the desert southwest - pretty much an electoral lock.

If Obama wins, I'm sending Justice Scalia a case of red meat and a case of cigarettes. We'll end-up with control of the court for decades. :D

Yeah, it takes a lot of character to dump your wife and mother of your children who waited five years for you to come home from Viet Nam because she had a horrible traffic accident and became disfigured for a married, beauty queen, beer heiress who was literally young enough to be your daughter...

I've heard people say from the beginning that McCain should have selected someone else if he doesn't watch himself he is going to look like the candidate who selected the electric shock VP.

51. Good god. They are completely, totally delusional.
When we fix the health care mess perhaps they will be able to afford a decent shrink.

"This is one mission McCain needs to complete successfully. No getting shot down this time or we'll all wind up being tortured for 4 years in the Hussein Hilton.

Look what they have done to the price of energy and now mortgage, credit, banking and the market and not only are they not in jail, they got filthy rich and are now blaming Bush and the market! Don't worry, now they'll fix it. It'll only cost $700 BILLION. Who says crime doesn't pay?

Imagine what they will do to health care and social security, not to mention the Supreme Court with the likely appointments an unopposed liberal President and liberal Congress will select with barely a handful of token conservative republicans to oppose them.

McCain is far from perfect, but he's the only one standing between us and a very bad future."
