I have, in Karate. The reason I mention this is because what went down last night was, in truth, a fight. The first round of a three rounder.
Now, in any multi-round fight, the first round is more or less the introduction. Oh sure, one of the fighters can get lucky and get a first round knockout, but that is simple luck and a grave mistake by the opponent coming together. That said, they are generally rare and one should not expect such a thing to occur.
In the first fight, they should play the song from "The Sound of Music" called "Getting to Know You" in the background.
You can be sure that the fighter's cornerment will be working with the fighters between rounds. You see, the cornerment have the luxury of watching from a distance, without the impediment of someone's fist in their face.
And no, from what I saw, Obama did not screw the pooch. Obama is an intelligent fighter, a boxer, a proponent of "The Sweet Science. Such fighters can easily deal with a brawler, when well-prepared. Such fighters pick their shots, allow the flailing brawler to tire themselves out and present gaping holes in their defense, holes you can drive a truck through.
