5. At one point he almost came unglued
He almost lost his temper at one point and was saved by a change of topic.

11. I'd say that happened more than once.
He came so close, I wonder what would happen if Obama nailed him with a quick response and then just shut up. Most of the time, Obama spared him by continuing to talk. It gave McCain a chance to pull himself together.

6. I thought he was awful!
Seriously! Any actual points he tried to make didn't stick. Obama deftly took down each one. His demeanor was awful -- any questions about his "temperament" were not set aside last night. He came off as arrogant, befuddled, and desperate in his attacks, seemed to me.

10. I thought he seemed unglued when he was half-grinning half-sneering
and trying to be sort of sarcastic. He looked shaken and rather disturbed -- especially compared to Obama, who keeps his composure all the time. One of those times was when they were talking about meeting other leaders without "preconditions" -- McCain looked rather hysterical at one point.

Maybe there's even more to unglue in the next debate, though. :)

7. He never looked Obama in the eye. The guy is always
looking at Palin's ass. He is a crazy old coot. At CNN's grade the debate his overall grade from the people (not the media whores) is a D.

12. He sounded good. But if you watched -- yow!
Was Obama trying to bait him -- or is that just sweet old John?

4. If McShame was intelligent and capable, we wouldn't know who Palin was
So sorry, I think the fact that Palin is in the picture should be enough to disqualify McShame. Why isn't the media discussing this angle of it? He FAILED in his first major decision!!!
