Since it is the easiest aspect of the debate to parody and from a comedy perspective, there were no other obvious moments they could choose. Perhaps they could goof on Lehrer for going a bit overboard to get them to exchange w/ each other. The idea of the two shaking hands while Obama shifts his body to force eye contact only to have McCain rotate, or shielding his eyes, hiding to the side of the podium, carting a divider out on the stage, etc. McCain's behavior was only socially acceptable had the two been standing before a urinal... It's something that is ripped from an episode of 'Seinfeld', imo. It could help cement the belief through the weekend that McCain lost the debate. Also, having a potential 'SNL' boost and the snap polls settle in with the public before the 95% right wing talk radio could spin it on Monday was a big advantage for Democrats having a Friday debate.

1. I could see that.
I now have an image of Daryl Hammond paying McCain with a hand on one side of his face, creating a screen to block out Obama or looking at the wall when speaking Jim.

3. SNL or not that was what really hurt McCain
that and Obama connecting through the camera and talking about the future.

5. Obama knows where that camera is and how to use it to his advantage
so that he comes off the podium and is standing with you, talking to you about the future and a vision and you don't mind holding his hand while exploring this brand new future... He is amazing with understanding his space.. Not enough people give him credit with the things that he does sooo well, that it seems like second nature.
