guys, rewatch the debate, check the fact checks. mccain got beat. he didnt get completely owned, but given the fact that this was supposed to make obama look like crap, obama clearly came out on top. lets stop with all this nonsense.

3. That's exactly what he needed to do......

to show the stark contrast of Obama type 21st century politics against McCain's Cowboy/sheriff old politics of destruction. Obama came across as someone who can be seen as generous to others in order to make his point...exactly the type of diplomatic power we want to see to go and repair the world. McCain lost because he couldn't even look at Barack, which means he's not man enough to be a diplomat.

Politics aren't simple, and neither is Barack. He wasn't there to win over his base. Obama was there to win over the undecideds and the independents, and that is exactly who he appealed to. He is a very smart politician.

12. I didn't see it.... it was the middle of the night for me...
so I will be waiting to see the clips and commentary from whatever news reports I see during the day.

But my instinct says that if you have to analyse it to see that Obama won then he didn't win. At best it was a tie.

I think a lot of voters aren't going to have time to analyse too much. As for re-watching it.... only the already convinced supporter/ ardent fan is going to do that.

2. Most of the pundits are giving Obama the win, not calling a tie.
