Anybody else think Mathews was playing to his right wing corporate bosses in his debate analys?

I mean here's a guy who got booted off the anchor political hosting gig on msnbc for being too democratic now he's talking about how poorly Obama did. Meanwhile mccain couldn't even look at Obama and spent alot of the debate hunched over the podium recycling the same talking points over and over (usually lying through his dentures)and Leher kept giving him the last word.

1. Matthews needs to have manly men act manly, providing "thrills," of which his legs are the recipient

McCain blustered incoherently and made tone-deaf emotional appeals. Therefore, Matthews is pleased with him.

2. I heard Chris say

that McCain was like a troll and angry. I think that Chris expected Obama to land more of a ko punch. I personally think Obama did very well. You don't necessarily want to go into the first debate seen as angry. The time for that is the last debate.
