McCain's Debate Lies and Gaffes: Shall we catalogue them?

Did you catch any, or think you might have caught any?

1) One I think I caught: He mentioned something about a wasteful federal grant to study bear DNA in Montana. Actually, I believe there was just such a program in Alaska. (Set aside the fact that maybe there's a good reason to support a study of bear DNA.) Can anyone verify that?

2) One that I just read about on HuffPo: McCain claimed Pakistan was a "failed state" when Mushareff came to power. In fact Musharaff came to power in a coup. What exactly does McCain think a 'Failed state" is? A democracy that can't withstand a military coup?

3) Apparently, McCain "forgot" that he actually voted to support Reagan's Lebanon misadventure in 1983.

4) Kissinger did indeed argue in favor of talks with Iran with no preconditions.

1. Another lie: McCain claimed to have stood up to Bush on torture

when, in fact, it's well known that he fucking caved, the cowardly bastidge, when his standing up would have counted the most.

2. KO mentioned that the Eisenhower letters were partially fabricated

The story supposedly goes there was a single letter. The story of a second letter was made up.

3. McCain said that the veterans know that he'll take care of them...

He sure hasn't so far, even voted against the new GI Bill, though Bush* gave him credit for it...:grr:
