This Robert Gibbs on Tweety is an idiot
Spewing talking points to Tweety is just plain stupid. I know the Republican moron did that, but does Obama's guy have to also?

Jesus, some of these advisors are stiffs.

8. Yeah, then he had to say "yeah, yeah" when Tweety defined it for him
Playing stupid isn't funny - Obama can do better than this.

5. He could have simply said "This was the debate on foreign policy
The next one will be about the economy. I'm pretty sure we will still be talking about the economic problems facing our nation in two weeks"

He's the smarmy jerk who I suspect was responsible for the Obama campaign's refual to attack and define McCain over the summer.

From the wiki:

Early in the 2004 presidential campaign, Gibbs was the press secretary of Democratic candidate John Kerry. On November 11, 2003, Gibbs resigned "in reaction to the firing of Jim Jordan, abruptly let go by Kerry Sunday night." Gibbs was replaced by Stephanie Cutter, a former spokeswoman for Edward M. Kennedy. After leaving the Kerry campaign, Gibbs became spokesman for Americans for Jobs, Health Care and Progressive Values, a Democratic group formed to stop the 2004 presidential campaign of Howard Dean.

12. Remember this Osama ad against Dean? Gibbs was a leader of the group.
I try to forget that, but that was a terrible ad for Democrats to run against a fellow Democrat.

18. I liked Gibbs. I don't know what he is doing on Hardball, but argh! he went after Dean
Why?

He didn't want him in leadership?

21. The group was formed to take Dean down.
From the post where I quoted the C-Span interview.

David Jones is saying --
"Our main objective was taking down Howard Dean... he was so far ahead... our concern was that maybe we couldn't fulfill our goal, but could take him down a notch... Gore, Carter all seemed to think he was the winner, so it looked like a cake walk for Dean - but we decided Xmas would be too over the top - but when he was taking a dive even before the scream, it seemed too dangerous to disclose the donors..."

This was a quote from the blog while we were watching that day.

14. I saw him as "OK" in an interview earlier in the day, but...
he was just repeating mindless Obama ad talking points when Tweety was trying to feed him softballs. What a waste of time.

15. Makes me wince too when he does that
But I defer to his knowledge of the voting public on that. He's not talking to us when he goes that route, and it seems to be on purpose.

I dunno - I would rather have some of his other people out there after a debate.

17. Why do you say he was spewing talking points?
Except for stating the unemployment rate, he repeated what Obama said during the debate.

19. Tweety threw him softballs and he couldn't answer the questions directly
He simply spoke the company line - it was a wasted opportunity IMO.
