They all panned him. The group went 2 to 1 towards Obama after the debate.

5. I thought McCain looked better than usual... but--
It did him no favors to have such a young and energetic opponent just a few feet away from him. The contrast was pretty striking.

8. I thought he looked more alive than usual too.
I'm certain he had on a thicker coat of make-up than he has ever wore in his life.

16. I really cant' imagine what he'd look like without the plaster
Those commercials showing the seriousness of his illness jolted me. He's an asshole for wanting to win in his condition. It is all about him. Win the presidency, go down in history. Then kak, who cares what happens to those left behind. Yeah, that's real country first.

13. I actually was in agreement with the comment of the focus group person
He seemed even older next to Obama.

14. He looked OK at first
but he deteriorated as the debate went on. It seemed pretty obvious to me.

Right, everyone spoken to had negative things to say about McCain. Also the group overwhelmingly said McCain's initial statement he wouldn't attend the debate was playing politics. This was a group of independents from Nevada.

12. Really---I switched to Fox because Chris Mathews was being so hard on Obama
I wanted to see if someone there was possibly saying good things about Obama. I didn't quite get that, but at least I got to hear McCain blasted.

17. Oooh, is there any video?
I really want to see the focus groups because it's the only way to watch actual reactions without the pundit spin.

I'm more concerned with how it was received by the swing voters. Also, I'm hoping that Obama will be able to improve on his already kick ass debate performance and REALLY blow McCain's ass out of the water next time.
