Obama assembled his top surrogates steeped in foreign policy credentials to come to Oxford
Tonight’s debate, beginning at 9 p.m. EDT, is supposed to focus on national security and global affairs, a topic that could favor McCain. Obama assembled his top surrogates steeped in foreign policy credentials to come to Oxford; they include former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed.

Organizers informed both campaigns on Wednesday that the economy and the financial crisis, issues topmost on voters’ minds, could be included.
