The new euphemism for "unstable" and "loose cannon."

2. Yep, I said it the other day in a thread ... Maverick is another term for "LOOSE CANNON"
Obama's team needs to begin portraying Grampa McCain as a loose cannon who's erratic behavior and poor judgement shouldn't be trusted to hold such an office.

6. McCain and Palin repeatedly refer to themselves as Mavericks
so people will forget they are Republicans.

7. He's appealing to his base.
What a tool he is. Thinking anyone with a brain believes being a maverick means anything.

11. IMHO if someone else calls you a Maverick, it might be a compliment, BUT
if you tell everyone you are one, it's obnoxious.

12. I equate "Maverick" totally different...
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 10:52 PM by crunchgarcia
When I was a kid and we lived in St. Louis, we owned the shitiest, rustiest four door Ford Maverick you've ever seen in your life and we would would practically freeze to death in that rolling tumor one brutal winter after another. Every SINGLE TIME someone says "He's a Maverick", visions of that cancerous piece of shit rustbucket come immediately to mind and I think to myself: Yes. Yes he is. Off to the boneyard with you, you needed crushing and disposed of a long, long time ago.

But that's just me.
