At one point in this debate did John McCain describe NATO

as an organization he was going to form to put pressure on Iran. League of important European Nations. He listed nothing but NATO members to be in this league. My head almost exploded. I was like what he just described is an organization already in existence and is our ally in Afghanistan. Heck he won't even talk to leaders of these NATO countries. John McCain does know what NATO is right?

1. I think he was wanting a group to counter the UN, not NATO.

2. yeah but all he talked about was NATO members.

I mean NATO already exists to do exactly what he said he wanted it to do. We already have the exact thing he described. I mean he could of said Japan or South Korea or Australia instead he simply listed NATO members. It was just silly. NATO already exists. Do we need another organization to do this again.
