15. Wow. I only heard the last 30 minutes on radio
Based on hearing 1/3 of the debate and not seeing any of it, I would have said that Obama survived McCain's strong suit nicely and probably broke even. I thought McCain sounded surprisingly non-senile. Many of his arguments are the same nonsense he has been saying, but I would not have guessed that would be this decisive.

These results of independent voters are really lopsided. I wonder how much of that is influenced by McCain's extremely erratic behavior lately, and how much is is his physical appearance -- that of a 72-year-old guy who has had a pretty rough life. Somebody said he was a POW once. Imagine that.

If those polls are at all reflective of reality, this race is really turning. It looks like McCain will have to give up in Michigan soon. The GOP is rushing emergence money to Indiana where McCain has zero field offices and has been doing no campaigning, and very well might lose. And in our sights: Palin v. Biden.

And McCain finished the week by screwing up the bailout, and ultimately getting kicked out of DC. "Go away and stay away until we have a bill to vote on." Not exactly the way he had dreamed about it.

The funny thing about Palin is that sometimes her answers actually sound a lot worse than they are. If you really make a strong effort to surmise what she might have been getting at, somethings you can discern a thread of logic. But most people are concluding she is just daffy. Sucks for her.

24. Interesting That You Heard It On the Radio
and thought McCain did well. It may have been like the 1960 debate which Nixon won on the radio but lost on television.

Palin may be the opposite.

22. Interesting questions
I never really thought Indies would go for McCain over Obama.

Obama offers a vision for the future.

McCain is stuck in the past along with his party, they have no new ideas, only the same old party line of tax cut for the wealthy 1% and corporations.

Obama offers new ideas that McCain has been stealing from Obama and pretending they are his own.

:kick:
