When someone is speaking, we take their meaning primarily from body language and tone of voice.
Their words are only a tiny part of what we take from what they are saying. That's why sarcasm doesn't always translate so well on DU.
This is a fundamental tenet of any communications training you will ever have, if communicating with people is ever an important piece of your career.
The look on your face, the way you present your body, and the way you say things, counts FAR FAR MORE than what you say.
THAT, 'my friends,' is why Barack Obama was the clear winner of tonight's debate.

5. It will be interesting to see if McCain shifts tactics
And looks at Obama in the next debate. Everyone will be looking for it. He loses whether he changes or stays the same.

Honestly I think McCain may have trouble moving his neck or something. I think he would have to move at the waist or feet to look at him. I don't think I have ever seen him really turn his head.

10. Barack's body language was perfect! Better even than in the primary debates.

He's such a careful, quick thinker. What a pleasure it will be to watch him as President.
