He looked like he may actually lose it for a moment and then he did a total dodge and started talking about soldiers or mothers or some such.

14. It's quickly emerging as one of the primary sound bites IMO.

In fact, most of the sound bites I have heard are Obama's. I think that, in and of itself, says what most rational people thought about the debate. He owned it, on turf that McCain was supposed to be the subject matter expert on.

The thing that struck me personally, has been how McCain's campaign has tried to frame him as someone who would stand up to anyone. Sarah Palin said he wouldn't be a guy who would talk one way about you in Washington and another in San Francisco, yet - he couldn't even look Obama in the face when he was criticizing him. Obama looked right at him and spoke in a very direct way. YOU were wrong, John". McCain's attacks were levied as if Obama wasn't even standing in the room. That's got to resonate.

McCain was PISSED. I kept waiting for him to lose his cool. He got very close a few times - he came across as very unstable.
