This is a different, and welcome, era of debates
We're so used to the Bush era non-debates that we can only think of things in terms of "win" and "lose". And it's all evaluated by who made the biggest gaffe or most verbal stumbles or sighs. What's been overlooked is what the debaters actually SAID.

We have to change our way of looking at debates to get past this surface level evaluation, because these two guys are not stupid. They're not going to be making absurd mistakes. But they are going to differ on what they say, and the question now is "With Whom do you Agree?" Who was actually persuasive? And I think the winner was generally Obama on that one.
