This was supposed to be McCain's strong night. And whater quibbles one might have about specific points of Obama's performance, he completely OWNED on economic and domestic issues. If the best McCain can manage on a night devoted to his "strong point" is a tie, I'd say we did alright tonight.

I am not saying it is a tie, I thought Obama won, if only because McCain behaved like a damn child throughout it. But it seems to be the media consensus, so far at least, that no one really won tonight.

5. Well, I have heard a lot of stories about how off-putting Gore's "eyerolls" and "sighs" were.
That seems to be a pretty dominant narrative, and one independent respondents don't really like in McCain.

9. Never been to Alabama, eh?
I grew up, and live there. NOT pretty.

10. No, I haven't.
I suppose I can only hope that, as a whole, independents find it off-putting, which a good number seem to via 538.

7. I'm not saying it was.
I'm just saying that seems to be the media consensus tonight. That is what we'll have to work with, however unfair it was.
