Is it possible for this board to be pleased?
For one goddamn night? At worst, Obama tied McCain in the foreign policy debate. There's no reason for gloom.

The media is kissing McCain's ass? Oh yeah, surprise!!!

Stop buying into their shit. This is what they do.

Obama delivered a confident performance, proved he has the wisdom and the steel for the job, and owned McCain on most of the issues.

Except for the warmongers in the country, and there are a lot of them, Obama won this thing.

Why don't you try to enjoy it for a change.

1. I don't think it is ...

In fact, I'm leaving for the night.

We should be celebrating. In fact, a group of us were all huddled together in an IRC channel having a grand old time watching Obama kick McCain's scrawny butt.

I was in a brilliant mood.

Then I came here.

I'm going to preserve my mood and avoid the whining and apparent need to jump off cliffs for no reason.

8. Is that a closed IRC channel?
I'd love to have a live discussion during the next debates.
Not many of my buddies here in Denmark stay up until 3AM to see this stuff.

15. Nope ...

Open to all.

It was advertised in the Lounge, IIRC. The plan is to do the same thing during the next debate.

I highly recommend it.

It was on the Newnet server.

3. We will only be pleased if
Rush, Sean, and Billo all agree that McCain should simply terminate his candidacy because Obama will be the most freakin awesome President ever.

7. That wouldn't work, either.
"The fix is in! They've bought Obama!"

You know it would happen.

5. I'm very pleased
The fallout from this debate will be all about McNasty's inability to behave like a respectful adult, in addition to him doing no damage to Obama on his supposed strong point, foreign policy.

11. Hahahahaha...
I hear ya, sandnsea.

But really there are threads stating the positive... it's just there are so many short little threads that stuff is disappearing too quickly to register.

:)

12. McCain is behind in the polls, he needed a victory. And he lost tonight.
Even those who say it was supposedly a tie will probably concede it leaned towards Obama.

I think most polls will show Obama won, because he did.

Tonight was supposed to be McCain's BEST topic: foreign policy!

But he answered every McCain charge, came after McCain's judgment, and came off ready to lead and Presidential.

He won. We won.

Onto victory, my friends.

14. Hey! I'm very pleased. Obama was terrific.
The demographic that matters are the independents/undecideds and Obama scored big with them.

17. The question is whether it is possible for YOU to be pleased with this board
The board is having a perfectly nice Obama love-fest but you seem to expect zombie-like lock-step of agreement with whatever your personal talking points are.
