1. You know... I think you're right and he will be.
I think he'll also be called on his constant lies regarding Obama's positions. I think the press this time, especially with Palin as his running mate, realize that a McCain campaign is actually dangerous to the country. It's no longer a joke and they're going to help go after him. I've even read George Will says he lost tonight.

Having Mao and the gang endure Henry Kissinger for multiple visits in advance of Nixon showing up? McCain certainly seemed to imply as much.

6. I thought the China reference was weird because
The point McCain was trying to make was that refusal to negotiate can lead to progress. But then McCain cited China. In China, establishing diplomatic contact led to progress. That didn't match McCain's overall point at all.
