McCain is trailing badly in the polls and it's only getting worse. He needed to knock it out of the park.

So a "tie" or "about even" will not be good for him. In fact, it helps Obama, because as one of the pundits on CNN said, foreign policy is supposedly McCains strong suit -- so if he doesn't hit a home run with THAT, he is not doing well.

1. Yep. He needed to really knock it out of the park
and he certainly did NOT do that.

4. It's all uphill for him from here.

You're right, he did need to have a decisive victory. At best, it was a tie. The economy debate will crush him.

5. You're right
This is McCain at his best; he's on the downhill slope.

Obama, even if you argue he's inexperienced, is STILL on his way up.

Even a tie is a win for Obama.

PS: And this was no tie; he ripped McCain a new colostomy access port.

6. 26 years in office and he can't demonstrate superiority on foreign policy over a freshman Senator
What has John McCain done with all that time? Besides picking up the wife with the 7 or 8 houses.
