There's been a shitload of waste in the name of defense. We could have won the war AND developed alternative energy on the money we've spent these last few years. But he wants to maintain the open checkbook where there's the most waste!

I thought Obama *REALLY* missed an opportunity there, when McCain, in his next statement, started talking about our need to do drilling and develop alternate energies. I don't see how we're going to ramp-up alternate energy without government spending.
