The m$m is shocking me. OK, maybe they have no recourse, but on cnn, Bennett said McSame was 'masterful'? I musta missed that.

6. McCain did better than I expected.
He only had one gaffe (when he said he'd veto every spending bill, I guess meaning-to-say every spending bill with an earmark.)

He was the less experienced on all matters, yet he looked and acted more Presidential and had better command of the facts. What more do you need?

9. So almost losing your temper is "masterful"
We must not have been watching the same debate. I saw him as condescending, temperamental and intentionally unspecific.

11. "Intentionally unspecific" concerned me; he 'debated' with his
townhall speech, did not want to debate, and had nothing new to contribute. Yet he got testy. :)

The best thing Obama accomplished tonight was appearing measured, calm, and concise...McCain just came across as testy and unstable. He needed to legitimize his "experience" claim by showing a vast divide between his and Obama's experience. Obama artfully deflected every single attempt and McCain was quick to unhinge when he was unable to own what was supposed to be his subject matter expertise.
