1. Not all of them are saying that. And Tweety is wondering if McCain's demeanor will
ultimately hurt him.

24. Can you clarify that?
I have my own thoughts to that effect, but I'd like to hear what Tweety had to say.

29. tweety isn't called "tweety" for nothin, and it isn't entirely his hair.
If tweety were a dog, he'd be sniffing every butt and humping every leg.

That sounds so bad! What I mean is that tweety gets enthused by very ephemeral phenomena, and really doesn't have that much depth. But he's very good at what he does! I enjoy clips from his show.

3. Infuriating but not unexpected.
Obama ran circles around McCain, the media needs to recognize that.

30. "I agree! I agree! I agree!"
That's not winning a debate. That's showing the world you don't know how to debate.

God, I hope Obama is a quick learner, or this country is screwed.

10. You're really
not surprised are you?

We should have all seen it coming. McCain could have hollered Fuck you Obama all night long and they would have said he won.

11. only Buchanan....the jerk, Tweety brought up McCain's dismissive rudeness toward Obama
and thought it might hurt him in the end.

And everyone agreed Obama won it on the economy.

15. I turned it on for a second
Buchanan said that Obama "did what he needed to do" and "showed he could counterpunch McCain". Turned it off after that....I'll take that from Pat, I guess. Of course he thinks McCain would have won, he loves that "most liberal voting record" shit.

25. Apparently there are rules for scoring debates
... that don't involve seeming thoughtful. From what they were saying, the fact that McCain said Obama was naive more than Obama said it about McCain, and the fact that Obama was honest enough to agree with McCain on obvious points, while McCain never admitted it, but rather re-phrased the same thing in terms of his own talking points... is points. Obama's capability to discuss issues in McCain's terms, while McCain was, of course, unwilling to ever use Obama's words.. no matter how retarded he might seem to be saying the same thing again.

In other words, the scoring scale is geared toward the debater's ability to sway the mouth breathers who aren't capable of following two sentences in a row...

Hard to remember that dumbness wins points.

27. Hint:11:00
I turned to PBS when MC Rove Gregory came on, and I'm not going back to MSNBC until Olbermann comes on at 11.

If you watch the right wing spew on msnbc, they'll be stupid enough to think they can keep an audience while giving us more such spew.

he showed a wonderful grasp of the nuts & bolts of foreign policy.
