1. MSNBC giving the edge to McCain.
Negatives for McCain include never looking at Obama and McCain's many putdowns of Obama...not Presidential.

6. Saying McCain did better than expected on the economy.
They start off with Obama should have the advantage there but didn't come off as strongly as expected. They give credit to McCain for the stories he told, particularly related to veterans.

But the problem is this was a foreign policy debate, and, IMHO, I wasn't too impressed with Lehrer's navigating this show.

They question - You don't understand and John is right. They're unsure how, especially, independents will view this. The 'you don't understand' is generally seen as negative, condescending.
