I can't be objective and when I hear McCain I get so angry that he is doing such a good job representing such a bunch of bull shit.

Having seen Obama hit so many grandslams anything less makes my blood pressure jump.

watching the view lines on CNN its interesting to note how flat the Republican line is and how the Dems and the Independents move together down on McCain and up on Obama.

My fear is that McCain will lose on substance and style but win the expectation game.

What do people with a more objective set of eyes and ears think so far?

1. Obama's doing very well and winning. McCain's dong about as well as I expected
I don't know why anybody is surprised by that--what did people think he was going to keel over? Obama is much better however, and scoring his points and I think making a big impact on voters.

2. I totally agree with you that Obama is much better.

McCain is so out of touch and not in the same league as Obama.
I think he's on another planet or something.

24. Yeah.. having to listen and look at mccain
is asking too much right now. I saw that clip on morning joe's last week where he accused mika of being an Obama supporter and I couldn't stand his blinking, monotone, condescending crap.

14. trying to watch
But scared that Mcfuckwad is doing well on style, he keeps going on the attack and talks anectdotally about all of the countries he's been to, blah blah blah but Obama sounds too academic and keeps saying I agree with John, John is right.

21. I am with you.
Just turned it back on and have the sound off, can hear the tv from the bedroom where my daughter is watching, Obama seems to be doing good at the moment according to the lines. Even the red line is way up. Holy Sh*t, oh well the red is going down now but it is still relative high. On my gosh, mccain talking and the lines are going all the way down to the bottom, the red is up a littele but the blue and green are down but slowly going up. I don't think I can even watch the lines and take it easily. I have too much hope in Obama and too much fear in mccain. Ugggh!!!!!!!

Isn't it suppose to end soon?

these "lines" of which you speak. Are they feedback from focus groups or something similar? I'm even more glad I decided not to watch:scared:

Hubby and I checked out at half time...kept TV on low... as we got cup of coffee and a brownie out of fridge.

Hubby said...Get that Damned Passport Renewed! I've been telling you to do it!!! I said to him..."Calm Down...it will get better...it's only first debate."

I got a scowl..

 It was not a good debate, imho.... It was distressing. I'm gonna have nightmares...

16. Wuss! Obama is ruling for informed people, and sounds so much
more intelligent. McCain's giving the tired responses he's done since I've heard him, sounding very defensive.

My DH, who is not as involved as I am but supports Obama, thinks Obama rocked.

the right tone. He looked and sounded very Presidential and tough. McCain wasn't as bad as I thought he would be in the first half, but during the second half he got muddled and was defensive, petty and snarky (and smirked too much).

Obama was intentially being respectful by agreeing with McCain so often before actually disagreeing with him. He wanted McCain to look petty so he could rise above, imo. And McCain complied. thankyouverymuch.

Well done.
