To have a shot tonight, McCain should borrow Bush's 2004 debating strategy
...which consisted in wearing an electronic device that allowed him to communicate with a smarter person hiding out of sight, as you may remember from the October, 2004 debate against John Kerry.

When reached by Salon.com, NASA photographic analyst Dr. Robert M. Nelson did not issue a definitive conclusion as to what the object in question was, but said that, "that it could be some type of electronic device -- it's consistent with the appearance of an electronic device worn in that manner."

"The image of lines coursing up and down the president's back is "consistent with a wire or a tube."

It's important to note that Kerry won the debate anyway according to public opinion polls, but hey, given McCain's precarious situation at the moment, anything is worth trying!

5. NYT had the story ready and a NASA imager confirming it was a wire - and wouldn't print it.
I believe it was FAIR that got the scoop about NYT's decision.

6. Palin will need to do that. And she has a path that the wires
could run through less obtrusively . . .
