What does McPreposterous have to do to be perceived as the victor tonight?
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 06:47 PM by Franks Wild Years
We all know that his snappy, sound bite style plays well with people who are, to be blunt, bereft of the ability to fully comprehend sentences one might brand 'wordy'. If he manages to get into a flow of snippy and snappy over Obama's more considered and meaningful answers, it'll surely play well with a certain subset of people.

Also, putting a dead soldier's dog tags on display - perhaps while misty eyed - and talking about the sacrifice of a soldier would likely play well with more people than it should, despite being completely irrelevant to Presidential politics. Bonus votes, perhaps, for intertwining such a 'gesture' with talk of his own days as a POW.

We know that certain pundits and people of a certain political viewpoint will herald his performance as long as he does not fall flat on his face while walking onto the stage, as long as he manages to force words out of his aged mouth. But what do you think he could do which would seriously aid the perception of him among voters who aren't the most informed or intellectually blessed but who are crucial to either candidate's hopes of victory come November?

3. Outside of the pundits though..?
What do you think can help him be seen as the winner by undecided, low information voters? Or will they just follow Blitzer, Matthews et al?
