------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minority Whip Roy Blunt said that until John McCain came back to Washington the Repubs were going to walk away from the bailout proposal but John said "blah blah blah" and the Repubs came back to the table.
According to many in the room at the time John McCain has said NOTHING!!! He seems to have no opinion on the bailout at all and is just waiting to try to swoop in and take credit.
One report even said that unless McCain is telepathic, McCain said NOTHING to help get Repubs back to the table.
