Poll question: Do you want McCain to show up tonight?

I am torn - i am pretty excited to watch Obama hand McCain's ass to him, not gonna lie. However, the opportunity for a town hall for Obama might also work out great. He does so well at those sorts of venues (our guy can actually think on his feet! How about that, McCain/Palin?). And having an open mic for 90 minutes - being broadcast into how many millions of homes? - would be quite an opportunity! What do you think?

With the threat of a town-hall type of deal and the topic being the economy, with Obama and a southern audience... Mccain HAS to be there. He really has no choice. The risk is way too huge and the grand-standing will blow up in his face as the notion of him being too busy on a friday night sinks in for average americans...

4. McCain has now made it a lose-lose proposition.... but it's a bigger loss if he DOESN'T show up...

...which is why he will.

5. Tough - he deserves to get his ass kicked by Obama after these last days.
On the other hand, Obama would probably win even more if McCain doesn't show. But win/win for Obama in my opinion after McCain said he would not show.

6. I don't know :( but I can't watch it if it happens
We have to go to dinner tonight with my husband's boss and his wife Sharon :puke: she likes John McCain. So I'll just have to smile and nod through dinner and hope she doesn't bring up the election.

It's supposed to be Fun Times tonight, a dinner for her birthday and our 14th anniversary. Yeah right :eyes: good times.. I just can't wait until it's over.

If they have the debate I'll have to find a way to watch it before I come to DU and see the spoilers!

8. Aww, bummer!

Looks like it's ON, so you'll have to avoid DU until you can get caught up. :)

I hope the food is good tonight! And Happy Anniversary!!! :toast:
