WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the Senate is likely to continue working on an array of legislation next week, delaying its scheduled recess, and will resume negotiations on Friday on a Wall Street bailout plan.
"We understand the urgency in addressing the situation," Reid said referring to the financial bailout. "I would hope the two presidentials (candidates) would go to the debate tonight and leave us alone here," Reid said, referring to Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama.
Negotiations on a $700 billion bailout plan were scheduled to resume in the Capitol soon.
