2. Of course it's the way he's always operated which is why he's among the most
unpopular people in the Senate. Even with his own party. I honestly don't think the msm is sucking up to him this time. I've seen that they have really gotten pissed with his campaign and the way it's treated the press.

5. That's been their plan all along!
If there is an agreement today, they will go wild in attributing this to McCain's efforts. The politics in this case are immense.

6. And he's succeeding beautifully -- much to his own regret, I suspect.
Most of the commentary I've seen today has been to remark on what a buffoon he is.

8. He'll show up at the debates at the last minute..
riding in on his horse, wearing a cape and brandishing a sword.

Seriously, can he make a bigger ass of himself.

14. I love the one thing I read earlier that Obama was doing most of the talking
and McCain just sat like a lump.

13. That's all that's left
He doesn't have a marketable voting record

He doesn't have a populist message

He doesn't have a viable running mate

He doesn't have a usable incumbent President

He's screwed

15. he picked a rotten running mate
That one should have been a deal breaker for a lot of repubs who aren't Fundies.

There will still be a fair amount of them just voting against Obama though--never forget that. We still have to do everything right.

16. Sounds like there are plenty of people on The Hill to vouch for his NON-participation
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 10:48 AM by CakeGrrl
We've heard several times that McCain didn't do anything when he was up there, so he was inactive at best, disruptive at worst. Barney Frank flat-out said last night that McCain had no role so he might as well do the debate.

The Obama camp has pointed out that he lied once again when he said he suspended his campaign, and KO and Rachel both pointed that out;

And then he lied to Letterman, who'll be happy to keep reminding people of that.
